My property line has two or more fences, which one is correct?

Maybe none are on the limit. Fence lines can be used as a guide but are not necessarily the property limit since the builder may not have known the boundary location or the fence was built for some other purpose and not intended to mark the boundary.

Determining the boundary requires research into old title documents and examination of all available evidence. Once the work is completed a surveyor can set stakes along the limit (called a Property Line Stakeout (PLSO)) and/or prepare a new survey called a Surveyor Real Property Report (SRPR) which will show the entire property, with dimensions to buildings, fences, or any other objects of interest.
